Sales Representative — Schools & Institutions
Location: Nigeria (West Africa)
Type: Base Pay + Commission
Reports to: Founder / Managing Director

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and personable Sales Representative to lead our institutional sales efforts across Nigeria. You will be responsible for building relationships with schools, libraries, educational institutions, and government agencies to bring Ayikwa’s award-worthy children’s books into classrooms and reading programmes across the country.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prospect, and close sales with schools (primary and secondary), libraries, and educational institutions across Nigeria
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with head teachers, school administrators, librarians, and procurement officers
• Present and pitch Ayikwa’s catalogue of culturally rich children’s books to institutional buyers
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Coordinate with the Ayikwa team on inventory, deliveries, and invoicing
• Attend education fairs, book exhibitions, and school events to promote our titles
• Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline, and market feedback
• Identify opportunities for bulk orders, reading programme partnerships, and curriculum adoption
Requirements
• Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in publishing, education, or FMCG sectors
• Strong network or willingness to build relationships within Nigeria’s education sector
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Passion for children’s literacy, education, and African storytelling
• Willingness to travel within Nigeria as needed
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, or Pidgin is an advantage
