Job Vacancy: Sales Representative

Ayikwa Publishing is a children’s book publishing company committed to creating culturally
rich, engaging, and educational books for children across Africa and beyond. As we continue
to expand our reach, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to
join our growing team.

Location
Lagos and Abuja (with occasional travel as required)

Role Summary
The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales of Ayikwa Publishing’s
children’s books across schools, bookstores, libraries, distributors, corporate organisations,
and relevant retail outlets. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, market
awareness, and a passion for children’s education and literature.

Key Responsibilities
●Promote and sell Ayikwa Publishing’s book titles within assigned territories
●Develop and maintain strong relationships with bookstores, schools, distributors, and
educational institutions
●Identify new sales opportunities and expand existing accounts
●Conduct school visits, book presentations, and sales meetings where required
●Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to the management team
●Support book launches, fairs, exhibitions, and promotional events
●Ensure timely collection of payments and proper documentation

Requirements
●Proven experience in sales, preferably within publishing, education, FMCG, or related
sectors
●Strong understanding of the Lagos and/or Abuja markets
●Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
●Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
●Passion for children’s books, education, and storytelling
●Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
●OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field is an advantage
